Heritage school drama with Macastory

Macastory, Fergus McNicol and Ron Fairweather, professional story tellers have been commissioned by the Penicuik Heritage Regeneration Project (PHRP) to work with schools in Penicuik to create stories about the history and heritage of the area. Visit from Armagh

On Wednesday , October 26th a delegation from the Armagh Townscape Heritage scheme in N Ireland visited Penicuik . The visit was arranged so that we could learn from one another . Update on the Tinker Town Event

Preparations are well under way for the Tinker Town event at Penicuik Park this Thursday 15th , Friday 16th and Saturday 17th September . There has been a change to the programme . On Thursday the day will be for local schools as planned but Friday and Saturday will be for families .

Ancient sundial exposed

Sundial on the old kirk The sundial was hidden until recently by the ivy which covered the Clerk Mausoleum and the east end of the old kirk containing the Clerk burying ground.
