Training Event ,Traditional roof slating

The Penicuik Heritage Regeneration Project is working with the Edinburgh Traditional Building Forum to make some on line training available in traditional construction skills . The first of these is one on traditional roof slating .This is planned for 25th June 2020 at 1.30pm and will be delivered by Graeme Millar , past chairman of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors and current president of IFD(World Roofing Federation).He has been involved in traditional roof slating for the whole of his working life .Alex Laurence of Architecture and Design Scotland is coordinating attendance through Eventbrite and Tyler Lott from the Society for The Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) has volunteered to coordinate the presentation for the day.
