Over 40 people attended Fiona’s presentation at Pencuik Town Hall .Debbi McCall , Midlothian’s Provost and chair of the Penicuik Heritage Regeneration Project (PHRP) welcomed and introduced Fiona and thanked her for all the creative work that she has produced over the last year .This has involved working with local community groups at the Pen-y-Coe Press and the Town Hall in Penicuik on projects based on the history and heritage of the paper making industry that once dominated the town. Fiona explained the background to the projects , the materials and techniques involved and the resultant artwork that was produced . We now have a number of permanent pieces of the artwork displayed on the walls of the main entrance hallway in the Town Hall .Refreshments were kindly provided afterwards by the Penicuik Community Development Trust as part of their weekly Saturday morning open house at the Town Hall.
