Charley Chalk Sign Writer starts on site

Charley Chalk a sign writer has started on the shopfronts at 14-20 High Street Penicuik .

Grants have been approved to enhance the shopfronts by refurbishing the windows and doors , replacing the tiles on the stall risers and providing new fascia’s with new signage . The fascia’s are timber and have been designed to receive hand painted signage for the four units involved ,  Flowers by Lindsey at no 14 , The Best Seller at no 16 , Tanz Tanning at no 18 and McDougall McQueen estate agents and solicitors at no 20 High Street .Charley Chalk is hand painting the signage for all four units and will progress around the corner to 25-28 The Square where new grant aided shopfronts are also being provided and they too will have hand painted signage on the fascia’s .Charley has already done the signage for the Penicuik Storehouse at no 22 High Street and has participated in the shopfront design seminars that the project held back in 2019 by giving a presentation and demonstration of their skills to local businesses about how they could improve their presence in the town centre.
