Exhibition of the proposed Heritage Trail and Hearse House restoration

A small exhibition was displayed together with the Penicuik Heritage Regeneration Project (PHRP) newsletter at the Penicuik Community Development Trust’s (PCDT’s) open Saturday event on the 10th June 2023 in Penicuik Town Hall. Positive comments were received by some of the visitors . There were a few interesting conversations about the history of the Town. The PCDT also displayed some of Roger Kelly’s brief history of Penicuik which is a fascinating read . It is hoped that this can be republished as a leaflet/booklet that could be available as part of the Hearse House exhibition.

The exhibition will be left up for the Sunday cinema and then will be displayed again next Saturday morning , June 17th . After that the exhibition boards will go on display in the shopfront window at 6-10 High Street Penicuik.
