Pilkington Building Exhibition in the Pen-Y-Coe Press shop window.

Work has started on the repair and restoration of the Pilkington Buildings in Bridge Street . The owners of 22,26,28 and 30 Bridge Street and 1,2,3,6 and 7 Park End have received a grant from the PHRP fund to repair and restore their properties.

The architects for the work are Mill Architects from Edinburgh and the Contractor is G.Grigg and Sons from Musselburgh .

An exhibition illustrating the extent of thew work and
briefly outlining the history of the building and it’s architect F.T. Pilkington has been erected in one of the shopfront windows of the Pen-Y-Coe Press in Bridge Street , just opposite the Pilkington buildings .
