Work progressing well on the Pilkington Buildings in Penicuik

The repair and restoration work being carried out to the Pilkington Buildings in Bridge Street are progressing well. Care is being made to ensure that the work undertaken is complying with current Covid rules and restrictions .The repair and restoration is of a high quality using materials and techniques to match the existing character of this grade A listed building . Stone repair , replacement and repointing in a lime based mortar is making a real difference . Chimney repairs , roof reslating and leadwork is giving the building a new lease of life .
