Work starts on 28-30 High Street and 2 John Street

The repair and restoration of 28-30 High Street and 2 John Street has started with the erection of scaffolding .This will involve shopfront improvements , new sash and case timber windows and repairs and restoration to the roof and chimneys.

As the work progresses the contractor will move onto 4-6 John Street and 22 High Street (The Storehouse) to carry out similar improvements with new shopfronts and repairs to the fabric of the buildings. This grant work will result in a significant improvement to this part of the town centre.
